I’ve switched over my tackle on one of my reels to heavy duty braided line a larger hook and a steel leader. I’ve loaded up the kayak and gathered my net. The mullet are running thick right now. Not finger mullet either large fat mullet schooling in pods of thousands near vilano beach. Going to catch me some in the A.M. paddle out into the ocean about two hundred yards anchor down and float some alive on the top and see what happens.

I’m debating on taking my phone with me. Last time I ended up drowning a perfectly good iPhone, but I like taking pictures so I guess I’ll make the call in the morning depending on how bad the water is.

Shark and tarpon are what I’m hoping for. I nice bull red would go over well also. If I don’t take my phone, how will I prove any of it happened?
